At uScore Soccer, our Skills Classes are designed to help every player — from first-time ball touchers to experienced players seeking more challenge — build confidence, technique, and game understanding in a fun, supportive environment.

Why Skills Classes Matter

Youth soccer players develop best when training focuses on progressive skill acquisition, confidence building, and consistent repetition. Our classes:

  • Provide a structured pathway for improvement — step by step.

  • Build technical fundamentals (dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, defending).

  • Introduce game concepts appropriate to age & experience.

  • Emphasize fun, engagement, and confidence in each session.

Whether you’re just getting started or ready for more advanced play, there’s a class that fits your child’s needs.

Skills Pathway

Classes are organized as a developmental continuum that aligns with player ages and abilities.

Introductory Phase - Birth Range: Aug 1, 2022 - Dec 31, 2023

Parents may register their child into the class that they believe will be appropriate for them. Our class coaches will evaluate each child's ability to participate independently during the first class and place them into the appropriate class if an adjustment is needed. Both classes use the same player age range, but Soccer Buds is best for players brand new to our programs.

Soccer Buds

  • First soccer experience with a buddy - this class requires a parent, sibling, guardian to be alongside the player.

  • Introduces balance, coordination, imaginative play, and teaches players the expectations of small group practice expectations

  • Focus: Comfort on the field, basic soccer terminology, engagement and listening well.

Explore & Score

  • For players who have completed Soccer Buds or are able to function in class without a buddy.

  • Introduces early techniques and basic 4v4 rules.

  • Teaches player boundaries and expectations of practice.

  • Focus: Lots of touches on the ball, basic soccer rules, independence.
